Unique DIY Bridesmaid Proposal: Paper Flower Bouquets with Hidden Note
So I wanted to ask my bridesmaids to stand by my side in a fun, creative, and UNIQUE way that hadn't been done before. I looked all over Pinterest and couldn't find anything that stood out to me and then all of a sudden it HIT me. I wanted to "propose" to my girls with a beautiful bouquet of paper flowers with a heart-felt letter written on the inside of one of them!
When I was 8, I learned how to make these when I went and visited my mom's side of the family in the Philippines! I always knew that learning this would come in handy one day ;)
Needless to say, all my girls LOVED it because it was hand-made by ME and because each secret note was unique to our friendship. Here are two screenshots of Instagram Stories they posted!
If you're interested in learning how to make the paper flowers, I created a quick step-by-step YouTube tutorial just for you! -- Literally my FIRST ever DIY YouTube tutorial!
All you will need is paper and scissors! Once you get the hang of it, I promise it's easy! Just pause the video as you go along to get the steps down!
Also, I highly recommend using scrapbook paper from WalMart, Michael's or Hobby Lobby (like I used for the ones I gave my bridesmaids), instead of construction paper (what I used in this video tutorial). Not only is it prettier, but it's also easier to fold and it doesn't rip as easily!
I just grabbed a book of scrapbook paper that included several different designs I liked. If you've never purchased one of these before, they look like one of these books:
And I also found these cute jars at WalMart in the wedding section!
Anyways, hope you liked the tutorial! HAPPY WEDDING PLANNING!
