Philadelphia Magic Gardens, PA

On the way back down from visiting my brother in Portland Maine, my parents and I made a quick stop at the Philidelphia Magic Gardens! I had actually first seen this spot from a follower on Instagram and HAD to go.

And quick shout out to Franche Reyes for taking some spontaneous photos of me! Check out her Instagram here. If you're ever in the D.C. area, she's looking to grow her photography portfolio!!

Anyways, here's just a short vid of what this incredible place looked like! Take a look!

I thought the history of how this place came to be is truly remarkable. I highly recommend watching this testimonial by the artist Isaiah Zagar. When describing the Magic Gardens, Isaiah states that "...it's everything, it's emotional, it's frightening, it's mysterious. If you look closely, you'll find not only joy, but despair, unhappiness.. it's not eye candy. It's all the emotions that we could possibly have." I really couldn't have said it any better myself!

Everywhere you looked there was some piece of interesting art. And Isaiah wasn't kidding when he said it was mysterious!

Overall it was a really great experience! Even the surrounding community had the same style of art on some of their buildings and walls inspired by Isaiah. The following shots were taken outside near the Magic Gardens!
