Moraine Lake, Canada

Moraine Lake is LITERALLY this blue.

📷

Guys, I'm not even kidding. I could not believe my eyes! I had been dying to go here for almost 3 years when I first learned of its existence. Moraine Lake easily became my number one place on my bucketlist! My dreams finally came true when a group of us were already heading out west for a wedding in Oregon. One of our friends that was also going to the wedding just happened to be FROM Canmore, about an hour away from Moraine Lake!! And on top of that, his dad drove all the way down to Oregon from Canada to pick us up in their RV! We seriously lucked out! Check out my reaction in this short clip:

This incredible view is certainly one of the most photographed spots in all of Canada. It is an absolute must-see for the travel addict community.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

The road to Moraine Lake is closed during the winter seasons and opens from May to October each year. For the best views of the turquoise water, you're going to want to go late June to early August. We actually went during Canada's 150th Anniversary and the prime minister had decided to make all the parks free! Hence, there were TONS of people visiting on top of the usual crazy amounts of tourists Moraine Lake normally receives every summer! So I would advise getting there as early as possible if you want parking - even then, you may have to do a bit of walking because it just gets so packed.

📷Once you get there, there's only a small walk to see the main view of the Lake. There are also trails that can be hiked for better views that range from casual walks to more strenuous hikes. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for the hikes the day we went because we had already hiked all day at Lake Louise (only 15 minutes away) and got to Moraine closer to 5 pm.
